Feng Shui: One of the easiest and fastest ways to change your life

I had a client who had escaped an abusive relationship and who now wanted to move forward into a new relationship with someone who would love and respect her. She said she was emotionally ready, but after all the dating websites and dating services she couldn’t find the 'right' person. Her house revealed that she wasn’t as ready as she thought she was.

Pictures she sent me of her house showed that she had placed several pieces of furniture where people would normally walk. Each house has a natural path that flows through the house. This is the way you walk from room to room. Sometimes a path takes you straight through a room. Rooms like this aren’t used so much. Other times a path will weave you around furniture and you will find you use the room more. But in some cases furniture is in the wrong place. You bump into pieces, knock things over or find yourself rearranging often. This is a symptom of blocked energy. I could see from the pictures there were some pieces of furniture that prevented some doors from opening completely. Another piece blocked the way out a patio door. Furniture is placed like this for protection, to stop energy from flowing in.

Another clue was in her bedroom. There was a stylized print of a medieval scene: a damsel with crown and veil facing a dragon with no knight in sight. This was a symbol of feeling alone and being in danger. Throughout her house there were still more indications that she was afraid of meeting anyone. I gave her a list of simple changes to make. This allowed her to make the changes at a comfortable pace for her. Over the next few weeks she made a few changes and started to meet new people. When she became nervous she could undo changes and create a boundary again. This allowed her the control that she needed to move towards a relationship. Finally she let go of the fear, made all the changes and met some men, any of whom could be potential new relationships.

Feng Shui for Attracting Prosperity

A client called about his money issues. He wanted to keep his current job while starting a small business on the side. He wanted to feel stable and secure at his job while still having enough energy at the end of the day to make progress on the business. But after six months the new business website was still unfinished, the brochures were gathering dust and now there was talk of layoffs at his office.

In the pictures that he sent I saw that the front screen door was hanging crooked from a broken hinge. The front door allows new energy to come in, but since "like attracts like", only damaged and less useful energy had been coming through this door. Consequently he was hearing things like the rumors of layoffs, and being contacted by potential business customers who had no money to pay for his services. In fact, the sight of the broken door each evening made him feel tired, it reminded him that the house was falling apart and if he lost his job he wouldn’t have the money to do the repairs.

There was a dying cactus in his entryway and a pile of the kids flip flops. The cactus represented not being able to survive in hard times; and the sandals made him want to be at the beach rather than going to work.

Pictures he sent of his home office showed his printer on the floor and a pile of papers on his desk. The stacks of papers were junk mail, memos from work, how-to business books, and so on. No person would want to work for long in a cramped and cluttered office like this. This state of his home office kept him from working on his home business.

My list for this client was very straight-forward. Repairs to a front door are always first. All new energy comes in the front door no matter how many entrances a house has. Then if he really wanted to make a go at this home business, he needed to give it a ‘home’. That means clearing the clutter out of the office and getting the equipment up off the floor so he can use it.

I recommended that the flip flops be removed from the entryway and that, instead, to inspire himself by putting pictures of Hawaiian beaches up in the office (the goal being that after his first 100 sales he would book his Hawaiian vacation). Finally the cactus was replaced by a green, easy-to-grow houseplant in a stone pot. Heavy stone objects stabilize energy. This will help him feel more stable at his job.
