Feng Shui is done quite differently in business situations than in home environments. If you used traditional Feng Shui principles in a restaurant you would attract customers that would stay and never give up their table. If you used traditional principles on a retail business you would bring in customers who stayed to chat with you but didn't buy. And if you used residential Feng Shui principles on your home office you would find yourself playing more video games and watching movies on your computer then creating income and success. Feng Shui for business is about creating movement and energy for you and your staff. It's about attracting opportunities and giving yourself the resources to capitalize on them.
When Timothy leased his office space in a medium-sized Washington city the landlord informed him that the two previous tenants had both grown too large for that sized space and so had to move to bigger offices. I recommended that he take the space on a short one-year lease. It took Timothy exactly a year to outgrow that space too.
Unless you make serious Feng Shui changes to an office or business location you will have a similar experience as the previous occupant. At the very least determine why the previous tenant is leaving to give you an indication of the experience you may have. If the landlord will not or cannot give you this information then you are taking a risk and doing Feng Shui changes to create a prosperous environment becomes more important than ever.
Martha had found an example of bad Feng Shui when checking out a place with a leasing agent. The agent said that the previous business had gone bankrupt and the place had stood empty now for some time. By looking over the place I could see several structural reasons for the bad Feng Shui energy not the least of which was the door had been put on backwards so the door opened into a wall rather than into the room. People coming in and out couldn't see each other so the opening door was hitting the person exiting. Since the landlord refused to make even that basic change to correct the problem door I recommended that Martha moved on to better office space.

Most recently a client of mine said after enhancing the wealth area of his home, he received so many calls for jobs that he may have to work weekends. But what made him the happiest was knowing that he could take just a few simple steps and bring more opportunity into his life and with it more money.
To his wealth area of his home office we had added a small table top fountain. He ran the fountain about an hour a day when he was actively seeking clients.
We hung a string of Chinese coins on his door knob which he could see from his desk. This activated the Career area of his office.
Also I exchanged out a framed poster he had of a winter scene for a vision board I had him create. This collage of pictures of things he wanted to achieve and places he wanted to visit gave him the motivation to follow up on the many leads that were coming in.
