What is Home Staging? Staging is simply highlighting your homes most desirable elements, using furniture placement and decor, to make your home more salable.
Why Stage a Home? You have only one chance to make a first impression and a great first impression can translate into a faster, more profitable sale. A study done in 2000 by Los Angeles broker, Joy Valentine, of over 2700 properties found that unstaged homes stayed on the market nearly three times longer than staged homes. And she found that staged prosperities were more likely to sell for above the asking price.
How does a Home Staging Consultation work? Feng Shui expert, Donna Stellhorn, visits your home and tours it inside and out. She takes notes, photos and measurements while recording a list of suggestions for you. A CD of this list is mailed to you for your review so that you can make an informed decision about how much staging you want to do. The charge for this visit and all of Donna's recommendations is $250 for homes under 3000 sq ft.
Once you receive your list of recommendations you can proceed with the changes yourself or for an additional fee have Donna return to help you with the work.
