A client called me recently with a question. She said that if she sits in her 'lucky' direction for success she will have to sit with her back to the door which is decidedly unlucky. It's true that out of the eight directions (four cardinal compass points, North East, South and West and four secondary points, NE, SE, SW and NW) every person has four lucky directions and four unlucky ones. But all energy that enters the home must come through a door. So before you place furniture according to your personal lucky directions you have to take the architectural layout of the room into consideration. Often the layout of the room will dictate the placement of the furniture.

Here's what I mean. In your home office it is best that you sit where you can easily see the door. That means you can face the door or have the door to one side of you and sit on a chair that swivels. But a door behind you means that your personal energy will be disrupted causing reduced ability to concentrate and less productivity or you will avoid the room entirely.

The solution is to place the furniture in the room based on the placement of the doors and windows and then consider your personal directions second. If you can't sit in your success direction you can still have benefit sitting in your Good Health direction, Relationship direction or Personal Growth direction.

Remember, all energy first comes through the door. If your back is to the door you won't be able to greet that energy. Your four lucky directions are based on your gender and birthdate. If you don't know your directions you can email me and I will send them to you.
